This resource presents one theme per Strands of the Grade 9 Mathematics course (MTH1W). It is therefore not exhaustive.

The resource is particularly useful for new teachers (NTIP), teachers who are assigned this course for the first time, consultants or coaches accompanying teachers, and Grade 8 teachers looking to situate student learning within the Mathematics Continuum. Each section includes questions for reflection that can be addressed in a group setting (for example, discussions between teachers, during coaching sessions, or in principal-led staff meetings).
